Luxury in Nepal’s Hidden Gem

Renowned designer Bill Bensley has brought his creative genius to the frontier town of Jomsom in the magical district of Mustang, Nepal. Shinta Mani Mustang – A Bensley Collection, nestled on the hillside above town, is a perfectly positioned base and haven for experiencing the hidden gems of Lower Mustang.

Tibetan-Style Suites with Mountain Views

Each of the 29 suites measuring 45 square meters (2,484 square feet), are designed in the style of a traditional Tibetan home with an open-plan bedroom combined with a living area and a separate bathroom. Floor to ceiling windows offer majestic views of Nilgiri mountain.

A Mystical Retreat in Ancient Lands

Shinta Mani Mustang – A Bensley Collection, is perched high above the town of Jomsom at the gateway of Mustang, an isolated kingdom which was previously forbidden to outsiders for centuries. This almost mythical region with its dramatic landscapes is hidden in the Kali Gandaki valley between the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. It is one of the deepest valleys in the region and one of the most unique and preserved regions in the world.

“Mustang” in Tibetan, translates to “Plain of Aspiration”. It is bordered by the Tibetan plateau with an elevation that rises from 1,372 to 8,167 meters above sea level. Shinta Mani Mustang – A Bensley Collection is the perfect base for trekking and adventures in the surrounding area, exploring Buddhist monasteries and culture, or just enjoying the awe inspiring vistas of some of the highest snow-capped peaks in the world, including the formidable Mount Nilgiri Himal.

  • A stay at the new Shinta Mani Mustang in Nepal puts sublime landscapes, ancient kingdoms, and remote monasteries within easy reach.

  • Even by the standards of cult hotel designer Bill Bensley, this is a breakthrough project - for its embrace of Himalayan culture and spiritual traditions in a vast and mysterious landscape, overlooked by the 23,000-foot-tall Nilgiri mountain, one of the tallest on earth.
